We have started our new well dig. Yesterday went smoothly. The client is extremely happy and cannot wait to test his restored hand water pump in his new well. The digging is good at the moment.

Completed another well clean yesterday. Removed the old rusted pipe work and cleaned the walls down. The brick lining was a few meters in depth rested straight on to Wadhurst Clay Formation Rock. We will be installing a lift and force pump into a well next week. The pump is made of brass with leather gaskets and lead weights for non return valves. The handle is cast iron. We will be installing the pump 15 feet into a well using Oak or Elm beams. Keep checking back as
We are looking forward to being the first in the United Kingdom to hand dig a water well in the 21st century. We will make record by doing it. I expect the last hand dug well was dug in the late 60’s, early 70’s so we will be the first in 50 years to sink
