Well Restoration and Maintenance courses
Become a well digger for a day
We are having many people ask if we ever do a course and share our knowledge with others.
Coming from a family business and information passed down through the generations with very little information available anywhere else, we tend to keep our secrets close to our hearts so have not thought about sharing that information.
After a busy year and speaking with our current and new customers we do understand we need to keep this information from dissapearing from our history. There is no information in any history books so maybe its time to start spreading our knowledge.
This is solely us sending out feelers to see if anyone else would be interested in courses if we were to hold any.
Our current thinking along the lines of a course is a possible Saturday course starting at 9:30am and going through to 4:30pm with breaks and lunch. The course will be split into 2 seperate courses with Well restoration forming the first morning part and Well Maintenance forming the afternoon session.
The course choices are below.
Full day course which includes both morning and afternoon, lunch and breaks with food and drinks supplied. The full day you will come away with free dowsing rods, numerous booklets, information sheets and a deeper knowledge into both the full restoration and maintenance of a well and its working system. This also covers the digging of new wells. You will also be given a certificate of continual professional developement.
Half day course will be an afternoon session and you will come away with booklets, information sheets and contacts for the running and maintenance of your well. You will also be given a certificate of continual professional developement.
Both courses include hands on practicals. The restoration side will include demonstrations with safety equipment, pump systems and other sections of restoring a well. The maintenance side will have hands on practical with various filtration systems and also demonstrations on running and using your well effectively.
Please note you will not be entering or going into a well on the course due to health and safety risks but you will have all the information on working in and around a well.
Costs will not be cheap as our knowledge is some what specialist. I expect the more we can get the cheaper it will be. If less then 5 people costs will be high, if more then costs will go down.
We expect roughly the costs to be between £1000-£1500 for a full day (depending on how many) and between £500-£1000 for the half day maintenance (depending on how many).
We are not asking for any full commitments but we are asking for anyone who may be interested to please contact and let us know of your interest. If we get enough interest we would then look to finalise and bring more details forward.
