We have an interesting job on at the moment. We first went to see the well which had all its old pumping equipment still in place minus the old wind pump which has long gone except the bottom tower stands. On measuring the well it only had 1 foot of water which seemed very strange
Finally got through the foot thick concrete which had been sat on top of the well for many years. It was great to see the wood still in place and the rsj’s looking in good shape. The well is flint lined and and is almost 40 meters deep. It looks in fantastic condition.
