Victorian Rain Water Harvesting Tanks

Sometimes we are called to clean and examine a well at a clients property but we soon learn it is indeed a tank rather then a well.

Mainly of the Victorian era, if a well was to be too deep which would also mean too expensive for many then a tank was dug/built to allow catchment of rain water which was then used for household and other uses.

These can look very much like a well at the top, they can also be elaborate square or rectangle tanks with brick arched roofs.
